It is an old building. Water leaks into the lower units when it rains. I am not sure about the toxins in the ceiling or in the paint on the walls. If you need a cheap place to live, it may serve the purpose. I am not sure how the current rents are. There are many undesirables in the area, so keep your windows locked. They will still just break the glass, but at least a locked window will slow them down a little. Invest in a good safe for your valuables and be sure to bolt it to the floor. Do not keep anything of value in sight, even inside your apartment! Invest in a stun gun, pepper spray, and a good hand gun and shotgun. Make sure you keep low penetrating rounds in your weapons, so you don't shoot your neighbors. Keep a close watch on your children; know where they are, who they are with, and what they are doing! Keep your children in sight as much as possible. Stay alert and you may be just fine! Good luck!
